God is great!

She hurried to the pharmacy to get medication, got back to her car and found that she had locked her keys inside. The woman found an old rusty coat hanger left on the ground. She looked at it and said, "I don't know how to use this." She bowed her head and asked God to send her some HELP.

Within 5 minutes a beat-up old motorcycle pulled up, driven by a bearded man who was wearing an old biker skull rag. He got off of his cycle and asked if he could help.

She said: "Yes, my daughter is sick. I've locked my keys in my car. I must get home. Please, can you use this hanger to unlock my car?" He said, "Sure." He walked over to the car, and in less than a minute the car was open. She hugged the man and through tears said, "Thank You, God, for sending me such a very nice man."

The man heard her little prayer and replied, "Lady, I am NOT a nice man. I just got out of prison yesterday; I was in prison for car theft." The woman hugged the man again, sobbing, "Oh, thank you, God! You even sent me a Professional!"

Is GOD great or what!?!

The Black Dot....

This beautiful story has a simple, yet important message. I hope as many people as possible give it a read. I know I am happy I read it, as it gave me a few things to think about in my own life. Sometimes it is the simplest of stories that make us ponder the most.

Keep your eyes upon Jesus –
look long in His wonderful face
and the things of this world will grow strangely dim
in the light of His glory and grace…

The Last Four

A U.S. Navy destroyer stops four Mexicans rowing towards Texas. The Captain gets on the megaphone and shouts, Ahoy, small craft. Where are you headed?

One of the Mexicans puts down his oar, stands up, and shouts, Gringo, we are invading the United States of America to reclaim the territory taken by the USA during the 1800s.

The entire crew on the destroyer doubles over in laughter. The Captain finally catches his breath, gets back on the megaphone and asks, “Just the four of you?”

The same Mexican stands up again and shouts, No seƱor, we are the last four. The other 21 million are already there.

How to Dance in the Rain

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.

The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health.

He told me that  she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's disease.

As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late.

He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.

I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?'

He smiled as he patted my hand and said,

'She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is.'

I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, that is the kind of love I want in my life.

True love is neither physical, nor romantic.

True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

With all the jokes and fun that are in e-mails, sometimes there is one that comes along that has an important message. This one I thought I could share with you.

                  The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
they just make the best of everything they have.

I hope you share this with someone you care about. I just did.

"Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain."

3 DIY And Natural Ways To Fix Your Acid Reflux

Do you suffer from acid reflux? It’s pretty terrible, isn’t it? Rather than choking down expensive pills or chewing endless antacids, why not go for some DIY remedies to give yourself some natural relief?! Love Live Health has a whole list of ways to soothe your heartburn, sleep more easily and eat more enjoyably. So the next time you feel the burn, try:

There’s a reason chamomile is such a popular soothing tea! It contains a substance called mucilage that can help heal and soothe your esophagus’ lining, and it can reduce stomach inflammation. Drink a cup of chamomile tea half an hour before bed to get rid of acid reflux that might keep you up at night. You can also make the tea with actual chamomile flowers!

You know how people recommend ginger ale for upset stomachs? That’s because ginger has compounds that help regulate your digestion and balance your stomach acid and bile. It also stimulates saliva production, which will wash away any acid hanging out in your mouth and throat. Get the benefits with ginger candies or by drinking ginger tea before bed or any meal.

Baking Soda

Think back to your high school chemistry classes— what’s the opposite of something acidic? Something basic! So if you’re experiencing occasional acid reflux or heartburn, turn to a base like baking soda to counteract it. Mix 1/2 a teaspoon to a full teaspoon into a glass of water and drink it for an easy remedy. It does have a high salt content, though, so if you have frequentheartburn, it might be best to avoid it.

Old Folks Joke

Three mischievous old ladies were sitting on a bench outside a nursing home when an old Grandpa walked by.

One of the old Grandmas yelled out, 'Hey, bet we can tell exactly how old you are!'

The old man said, 'There is no way you can guess my age!'

One of the Grandmas said, 'Sure we can! Just drop your pants and undershorts and we can tell your exact age.'

Embarrassed, but anxious to prove they couldn't do it, he dropped his drawers.

The Grandmas asked him to first turn around a couple of times and then jump up and down several times.

Determined to prove them wrong, he did it.

Then they all said in unison,'You're 87 years old!'

Standing with his pants down around his ankles, the old gent asked, 'How in the world did you guess my age?'

Slapping their knees, high fiving and grinning from ear to ear, the three old ladies happily crowed.....

'We were at your birthday party yesterday.'

This Guy Grew A Church Out Of Trees

For some people, the worship of nature and the divine go hand in hand.  They see the overwhelming beauty in the world around them and can’t help but see the hand of some otherworldly force at work.

Brian Cox, a New Zealand native, spent years traveling the world and studying many different houses of worship.  He’s also the owner of tree locations, a company that moves and plants large trees.  So when he returned home, he knew exactly what he wanted to do to build his own monument to spirituality.

In 2011, Brian Began work on the Tree Church, which took him 4 years to complete.

Brian used steel frames to make the skeleton of this beautiful church.

He used a wide variety of trees and plants to create different textures and forms.

He was careful to make sure the canopy never got too dense, so that sunlight would always illuminate the church.

For the walls he used Copper Sheen trees, because the color of their bark is so similar to stone.

When it was finished, Brian decided that everyone should be able to enjoy the church, so he opened it up to the public.

Brian’s own nephew was recently married in the church.

The building requires a lot of upkeep – it takes over 8 hours of pruning and mowing to get it ready for visitors. But it’s worth it!

“Visitors have said that they find the Tree Church relaxing and that their worries disappear,” Brian says. “I find that sort of feedback immensely rewarding.”

A Florida Court Sets Atheist Holy Day!

       You must read this......
A proper decision by the courts...
for a change.

In  Florida, an atheist created a case against Easter and Passover Holy days.  He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days.  The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.

The case was brought before a judge.  After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood and objecting to the ruling saying,

"Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case?  The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others.

The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays..."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. your client, counselor, is woefully ignorant."

The lawyer said," Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fool’s Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.'

Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his holiday.

Court is adjourned..."

You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!

A young man was at the end of his rope,
seeing no way out, he dropped to his knees in prayer

"Lord, I can't go on," he said. "I have too
 heavy a cross to bear."

The Lord replied, "My son, if you can't
bear its weight, just place your cross inside this room.

Then, open that other door and pick out any
 cross you wish."

The man was filled with relief and said,
"Thank you Lord," and he did as he was told.

Upon entering the other room, he saw many
crosses; some so large the tops were not visible. Then, he spotted a tiny cross leaning against a far wall.

"I'd like that one, Lord," he whispered.
The Lord replied, "My son, that is the cross you just brought in."

When life's problems seem overwhelming, it
helps to look around and see what other people are coping with.
You may  consider yourself far more fortunate than you imagined.

                                YOUR CROSS

                                Whatever your cross
                                Whatever your pain
                                There will always be sunshine
                                After the rain

                                Perhaps you may stumble
                                Perhaps even fall
                                But God's always there
To help you through it all

Funny how you can send a thousand "jokes"
through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about passing it on.

Funny, isn't it, when you go to forward
this message, how many on your buddy list will not receive it because you're not sure they believe in anything?

    Funny? No!   Sad, and thought-provoking...

May God give you the strength and courage
to pass this along to everyone on your email buddy list....

SNOW GLOBES - Soap bubbles blown in freezing temps turn into stunning ice bubbles

In the midst of one of the most severe winters in modern American history, Hope Thurston Carter, 52, of Martin, Michigan, got the idea after seeing similar pictures on the Internet.

'I was instantly curious, and ran out and bought some bubble solution so I could try this myself,' she told HotSpot Media.

'I found out very quickly that blowing bubbles in the winter, and trying to photograph them, is not as simple and easy as it looks!'

Still, weather with temperatures between -9 and -12 degrees Celsius, is most ideal for creating the ice bubbles.

On such a day, Hope ventures into her back garden with a bottle of bubble mixture, blows a flurry, and, when one lands intact, runs to her camera to photograph it as crystals spread.
